Controversial Spaniard claims Luis Suarez wants to talk to Real Madrid

Reports in Spain have commented that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez wants to talk to Real Madrid over a proposed move this summer.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is currently enjoying the best season of his career, and there isn’t a football club in Europe who wouldn’t want to sign the player given the opportunity.

The Uruguayan international striker was close to making an exit last summer, with Arsenal one of a number of clubs reportedly interested in his services.

Fortunately for the Anfield outfit, their star player was convinced to stay at least for one more season and even signed a new big-money contract last autumn as he began to repay the club for their faith shown in him during his previous controversial problems.

Despite his new contract, however, there still remain fears he could be tempted by a move to Real Madrid and this was further enhanced when international teammate Edinson Cavani revealed the Liverpool striker dreams of making a move to the Spanish capital.

According to the Spanish press Chiringuito TV, the controversial journalist Francois Gallardo has confirmed Luis Suarez’s intentions of speaking to Real Madrid as he wants to move to Los Blancos this summer.

He said: "The player which has told his own club that he wants to listen to Real Madrid and only Real Madrid is Luis Suarez."

Without admitting that it’s a ‘done-deal’, Francois Gallardo believes as a result of a clause in his contract that Suarez will go to Real Madrid this summer in a big-money move.

He added: "The price will be around €70m - €80m."

Whilst the Reds will most certainly do everything in their power to stop their top goalscorer from leaving, the pulling-power of Real Madrid is enough to tempt the world's most famous football clubs into selling their stars - as Manchester United and even Barcelona have found out in the past.

With just three games remaining, Luis Suarez looks odds-on to finish the season as a Premier League winner and with that in mind, he may feel there is little else to achieve on Merseyside before realising his dream move.
