PlayStation Europe have taken to twitter to announce the next PS4 firmware update,
Heads-up: PS4 firmware update 1.70, inc. SHAREfactory and HDCP Off, goes live on 30th April. More soon!— PlayStation Europe (@PlayStationEU) April 25, 2014
The SHAREfactory app will bring new video editing features and social media sharing functions. Talking on the PlayStation blog SCEA lead Scott McCarthy writes,
'With SHAREfactory, you can now easily combine your captured video clips for editing, personalize them with special effects using filters, transitions, and themes, as well as share them with your friends and social networks. SHAREfactory also allows you to personalize your videos by adding text, stickers, and a set of included audio tracks, as well as video commentary with picture-in-picture capability with PlayStation Camera. It also allows you to import your original music to add to the custom soundtrack for your video."
A video showing off SHAREfactory accompanies the announcement.
As previously rumoured pre-loading will also be coming at the end of the month giving gamers who've pre-ordered the chance to get going on new titles straight off the bat. Currently the pre-load window is described as, 'up to several days prior to release.' This can also be automated with the auto-download feature.
Whilst Sony assure us there's still more to come there's no word as yet for media server updates or confirmation as to when upscaled PS1/PS2 games will be available.
