A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
There is some good news for Spurs with the return of Etienne Capoue to first team training.
Head coach Tim Sherwood had suggested that the Frenchman may not play again this season with an ankle problem.
“It's great to see him back in training but he has been out for two months, so we have to be careful. We'll continue to monitor him closely,” Sherwood told the Tottenham website.
The Times has suggested that Arsenal could rival Tottenham Hotspur in any race to sign Danny Welbeck from Manchester United.
Welbeck had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford before United decide to sack David Moyes.
Welbeck is thought to want to play through the middle in a central role over a wider position on the left hand side.
Spurs midfielder Sandro has admitted that he doesn’t have a problem with Sherwood, contrary to recent reports.
Sherwood left the holding midfielder out of the side which played Fulham at White Hart Lane last weekend.
“I respect him, I have nothing against him, let him speak. I will continue working quietly, I'm a professional. I have to work. Everyone loves me at Tottenham, it is my home,” he told Lancenet.
