Without any warning, many Playstation Classic and PSP game titles are said to be playable on your portable Playstation Vita handheld.

Over on Dual Shockers they reported that posts started to emerge on NeoGAF, stating that many of the titles previously unavailable for the PS Vita, are now actually working with the handheld system.

PS One titles such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and even Metal Gear Solid are said to be working on Sony’s latest portable system. Be warned though, that you’ll need to purchase the games from the Sony web store or on your PS3, then see if you can access them on your Vita.

However, we’re still awaiting official word from Sony on whether this news is the result of a bug or if it was actually intended. So we’d say it’s best to see what Sony say about this, before you go nuts and buy all your favourite classics. We’ll keep our ears to the ground and wait for Sony to come out with any official comments.

Below are a couple of NeoGAF user-posted screens of the games being available for download on their Vitas.
