Midfielder Sandro has said there is no bad blood between himself and Head Coach Tim Sherwood after he was left out of the side during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Fulham at White Hart Lane, with Sherwood stating the Brazilian was ‘not good enough’ to face the Cottagers.

Sandro is quoted by London24, saying: “He said that, but I respect him, I don’t have anything against him, let him speak.

“I will continue working quietly, I’m a professional. I have to work.”

Tottenham have offered a trial to Belgian youngster Axel Frix according to TalkSport.

16-year-old Frix is a left-back who has attracted interest from several Belgian clubs, according to the report, and is on the books of OH Leuven.

Striker Harry Kane has told the club’s website that he hopes to extend his scoring run when Spurs travel to Stoke City this weekend, having scored in each of his last three appearances.

Kane said: “At any level you have to score to stay in the team and I’ve been able to do that.

“There is always competition and players looking to take your spot. You have to take your chance and thankfully I’ve been able to score in every game so far and hopefully I’ll get a few more.

“I was delighted to make it three in three and let’s hope we’re talking about four in four at Stoke.”

Defender Zeki Fryers has also been speaking to the Tottenham website, and is anticipating a difficult game at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

He said: “They’re a strong team and I know from watching other clubs go there that it’s difficult to win there.

“They make it hard for opposing teams so we’ve got a big challenge at the weekend and we’re looking forward to it.”
