Reds hero Robbie Fowler has stated that he agrees with Brendan Rodgers’ belief that the attacking midfielder is the best teenager in Europe at the moment.
Although the likes of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge will gain widespread acclaim for Liverpool’s excellent season this term, Raheem Sterling has been a key reason that the Merseyside club are fighting for the Premier League title.
The young English attacker has been used in a number of different roles by Brendan Rodgers of late, with the young star repaying his manager’s faith by grabbing goals in important victories for the side.
The Northern Irishman has recently stated that he feels that Sterling is the best young player on the continent – with Robbie Fowler the latest to lavish praise on the winger.
The former Liverpool striker has stated that he agrees with Rodgers’ thoughts and that Sterling is continuing to improve with every game.
"He is just getting better and better," Fowler told talkSPORT.
"He is so good at the minute. I remember speaking to Steven Gerard about it a while ago and he said he was excellent in training and it would be a matter of time before he starts producing the goods on the pitch.
"Brendan has come out and said he is probably the best teenager in Europe at the moment and I would agree because there is no one standing out as much as him at the minute."
Liverpool are three games away from a memorable title success, which would be an exceptional achievement given their finishes in recent seasons.
For Sterling, a place at the World Cup with England seems like a certainty this summer.
