A round up of news stories and transfer rumours about Liverpool from the past 24 hours.
Reports continue to suggest Luis Suarez is a transfer target for Real Madrid, with Los Blancos ready to axe Karim Benzema to help part fund the move. Suarez signed a new contract with Liverpool earlier this season and some stories have suggested a potential fee of over £100 million.
Pictures of what the newly designed Anfield could look have been leaked ahead of schedule. The Reds are on course to redevelop part of the ground as part of a multi-million scheme to regenerate the surrounding Anfield area.

Raheem Sterling puts his success and development this season down to the faith of manager Brendan Rodgers. Sterling has developed into one of the best wingers in the Premier League, bagging a brace last weekend against Norwich.
“He has had belief in me, he has put me in different positions and had the faith to try me there,” he told the club’s website.
Martin Atkinson will referee the crucial Premier League game between Liverpool and Chelsea this weekend. The first and second sides meet in the game, which could determine where the Premier League trophy ends up at the end of the season.
Liverpool centre back Martin Skrtel has praised the collective effort of the side this season, as they close in on an historic Premier League title win.
“It was a collective effort (against Norwich last weekend). Now we have one week to get ready for Chelsea and obviously everyone knows what a game that is,” he told the Liverpool website.
Former Liverpool player John Aldridge says Brendan Rodgers’ decision to send Fabio Borini on loan to Sunderland was a masterstroke.
“You couldn’t write a story like that; a lad on loan from Liverpool, an ex-Chelsea trainee, scoring a winning penalty against Chelsea for his loan club, to hand the initiative to his parent club in the race for the title,” writes Aldridge in the Liverpool Echo.
A player who could be coming in this summer is Ajaccio goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa. The Daily Express has suggested Liverpool are prepared to make a move for the 28-year-old but they could face stiff competition for him from Serie A giants AC Milan.
The Reds have received support in their title pursuit via former boss Gerard Houllier who is backing Brendan Rodgers to achieve what he couldn’t and lift the Premier League trophy.
“Yes, they will (win it). They have three games, but the team has got consistency and a lot of confidence,” the Frenchman told the Liverpool Echo.
