Tottenham latest, Moyes sacking has implications on club, midfielder hails Lloris

A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.

It seems that in light of news that Manchester United have sacked David Moyes as their manager, Spurs will miss out one of their preferred candidates for the likely vacancy at White Hart Lane next season in Louis Van Gaal according to several reports.

The Dutchman was supposedly in talks with the Spurs hierarchy over the possibility of taking charge at the club next season, replacing the current Head Coach Tim Sherwood.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has also been linked with Spurs for next season whilst Moyes himself has been quoted at prices of 5/1 to be the man in charge of Tottenham next season.

Midfielder Mousa Dembele has hailed goalkeeper as one of the best goalkeepers after his penalty save from Steve Sidwell in the 3-1 win over Fulham at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Dembele told the club’s website: “He’s unbelievable. He’s one of the best goalkeepers I know and it’s a pleasure to work with him.

“He made some great saves against Fulham and contributed to our overall performance.

“We’re all very happy with the result as we played very well.”
