A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
The Daily Mail claims Newcastle United are considering a possible swoop for Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood.
Reports have suggested that Sherwood could be axed this summer and Newcastle could replace Alan Pardew, giving Sherwood a contract at St James Park.
Newcastle have lost five games in a row, which has created speculation that Pardew could also be facing the boot.
Head coach Sherwood has revealed his fear that Christian Eriksen could leave the club.
The Dane has been one of the stand out performers in his first season at Spurs, with Sherwood harbouring a fear that another side could try and poach him.
“You are always fearful that someone might come and take one of your best players and Christian is certainly one,” Sherwood told the press.
The Mirror has claimed that Spurs want to try and sign Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck this summer.
The paper claims United will offload Welbeck this summer if David Moyes decides to sign a high profile striker.
He’s been increasingly confined to wider roles in the United squad, over a preferred central position.
