Manchester City face West Bromwich Albion this evening knowing that nothing less than three points will do.

With Liverpool beginning to move away from the chasing pack at the top of the Premier League, Manuel Pellegrini’s men must keep the pressure up by beating the Baggies.

In early team news, the BBC reports that David Silva and Jesus Navas are both doubtful due to injury, while Yaya Toure and Matija Nastasic are both definitely out.

West Brom are to give late fitness tests to Jonas Olsson and James Morrison, but Scott Sinclair is ineligible to play against his parent-club.

The weekend may be the last thing on City players’ minds right now, but Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie believes his side can derail the Blues’ title charge.

The two sides meet on Sunday, and Bolasie told the Croydon Advertiser, “Playing at home, playing in front of our crowd, we’re looking to create an upset hopefully.

“People might think we might take our foot off the gas, but that’s not the case.”

Palace have enjoyed a huge resurgence under Tony Pulis, and have already thrown a spanner in Chelsea’s title challenge this season, so Pellegrini and his men will be wary. But for now their minds will be focused on this evening’s must-win game.
