Former Chelsea youngster Gokhan Tore has been injured in a shooting in Turkey.
The 22-year-old currently plays for Besiktas, where he has three goals and seven assists in the Super Lig this season.
The incident occurred over the weekend in Istanbul, with the winger taken to hospital, but is expected to recover.
German website Sport1 report that Tore is expected to be discharged from hospital soon, and is not in life-threatening danger.
It is not thought Tore was the deliberate target of the attack, but instead caught in the crossfire during a dispute in an nightclub which escalated dramatically out of hand.
Tore was hit in the shoulder, and was rushed to medical care immediately and has been undergoing surgery.
He is currently only in Turkey on loan from Russian side Rubin Kazan, who he signed for from Hamburg.
Tore has been capped by Turkey 19 times. He signed for Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in 2009, but was sold for £1.4 million to Hamburg two years later without playing a first team game for the Blues.
