Chelsea midfielder Oscar has revealed that he spoke to Paris Saint-Germain stars Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura over the possibility of moving to the French giants this summer.
The Brazilian playmaker has been linked with a move to the French capital, a transfer which is still openly debated and discussed within the media.
“Lucas, Thiago Silva and I spoke about it a little bit when we met in the Champions League, but there is nothing certain. They know that I'm good at Chelsea,” said Chelsea’s main number ten.
So what exactly could they have been chatting about?
PSG make no secret of the fact they like to talk about and go after their main transfer targets openly in the media.
It wouldn’t be a major surprise if the PSG stars Oscar mentions placed him under a lot of pressure or poked a little fun in his direction, trying to sound him out about a move to Ligue One football.
They could have stressed the benefits of playing for PSG and how it could be more beneficial than his situation at Chelsea.
Fortunately for the Blues and their fans, Oscar seems to have a very mature and sensible head on his shoulders for a 22-year-old.
As a retort, he’s likely to have expressed the fact he is Chelsea’s primary number ten.
The sale of Juan Mata to Manchester United was a big giveaway sign from Mourinho that he’s going to base the attacking part of his midfielder around Oscar until at least 2017, when his current deal expires.
It’s also evident that Oscar made it clear that he’s happy at Chelsea and isn’t actively looking for a move away.
It's also not impossible that there was some World Cup chat between the players, all keen to get a place in the Brazil squad to play in their home country this summer, which is something that not all players get to experience in a career.
Mischief making at a club where Zlatan Ibrahimovic (the king of mischief making) is the main icon isn’t a major surprise but Oscar certainly hasn’t been lured into the trap which would make a PSG move for him more likely this summer.
