It may not have been as easy as some Liverpool fans thought it would be when their club went 2-0 up inside 12 minutes against Norwich City, but the Reds ultimately sealed a 3-2 win that saw them take another huge step towards their first ever Premier League title.
A brace from Raheem Sterling and yet another goal for Luis Suarez gave Brendan Rodgers' side the win, ensuring they finished the Easter weekend five points clear of their nearest rivals Chelsea.
With just three matches to go for Liverpool, their fate is very much in their own hands, but much of the credit has to go to Sterling, who shone in the absence of Daniel Sturridge, scoring two and setting up a third.
Sturridge has been a huge factor in the Reds' success this season, scoring 20 goals in 26 league matches prior to the hamstring injury that ruled him out of the trip to Carrow Road. But the England striker was clearly ecstatic at the final whistle, as he took to Twitter to hail a vital three points.
"Get in there boys. I'm absolutely buzzing. Roll on next week. Three more cup finals," he wrote.
If Liverpool can overcome those games as they have their most recent encounter, Sturridge and co. will soon be celebrating a league success that seemed impossible at the start of what has been a phenomenal season.
