A select round-up of morning news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…
Tottenham Hotspur kick-off today’s Premier League proceedings at lunchtime, as they welcome Fulham to White Hart Lane.
Both sides want points for very different reasons – the visitors looking to climb out of the relegation-zone and the hosts hoping to secure European football for another season.
In early team news, the BBC reports that Mousa Dembele is fit to play after overcoming a hip problem. However, Tim Sherwood is without a whole host of players with Roberto Soldado, Erik Lamela, Michael Dawson, Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker among those on the side-lines.
Fulham cannot field Lewis Holtby, who is ineligible to play against his parent-club.
In other news, Sherwood has called his squad “much of a muchness”.
Highlighting Hugo Lloris, Emmanuel Adebayor and Christian Eriksen as the exceptions, the former player said, “I couldn’t tell you what my best team is and I don’t know whether that’s good or bad.”
Hopefully whoever Sherwood does opt for this afternoon makes him reassess that feeling for as long as he remains in the job.
