Sandro dropped by Sherwood? - Confirms on Twitter he is not injured

Sandro KO Gomes

Brazilian midfielder Sandro is not injured for today's game against Fulham but looking at his Tweet he is not set to play either.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has been rattling plenty a cage since he became the new boss at The Lane - taking over from Andre Villas-Boas at the end of last year.

The Englishman has openly criticised his own players and has divided opinion with some of his touchline antics.

He admitted yesterday that he does not know his best team yet for the club as Spurs get set to take on Fulham at White Hart Lane in the early afternoon kick-off.

But one player who will not feature is Brazilian Sandro.

The midfielder has confirmed on Twitter that he is not going to play today - but also that he is not injured - suggesting he has been dropped from the squad by Sherwood - who has not been afraid to make bold line-up decisions in recent weeks.

Here is the Tweet in question…

If it is true, and Sandro really has been dropped by Sherwood for reasons unknown it will be the biggest gamble he has played as yet.

Sandro is an immensely popular player with the Tottenham fans and they will not like to see his nose bent out of shape by a boss who is yet to have all the fans on his side.

Time will tell the circumstances of this story - but it certainly seems as though Sandro is not playing against Fulham - and that he is not very happy about it.
