Manchester United are set to improve their midfield this summer and one of the players being linked with the club recently has been Italian international Antonio Candreva.
At the start of this month he was again being linked with a move to the club - six months after hope was seemingly lost in his pursuit after he signed a new five-year deal to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
Regardless of how genuine their interest is - and how likely they would be to get him - he demonstrated today just why United and many teams across the continent are said to be taking an interest in the player’s services.
Lazio took on Torino today in a thrilling six goal stunner in which both teams took home spoils in a 3-3 draw - and Candreva was the hero for the home side.
First he scored a delightful penalty in the 61st minute to make it 2-1 but goals from Panagiotis Tachtsidis and what looked like a late winner from Ciro Immobile made it 3-2 to Il Toro.
But the Biancocelesti were not to be undone - and Candreva was once again the coolest man in the stadium with a sweet finish from close range.
United should certainly try and get him on board…
