Lucas Leiva merely wanted to wish his former team-mate Everton Santos well after he suffered a shock heart attack in midweek.
Liverpool star Lucas Leiva posted up a photo on his official Instagram account earlier today which in his mind he never thought would cost any controversy - but because of local rivalry it certainly started discussion.
He posted this photo with the adjoining message…
“Strength Partner! It'll be fine.”
But what got fans asking questions is the word printed onto the photo ... Everton.
Of course he was not bigging up the Merseyside rivals, in fact there was a serious and innocent meaning behind his status.
Everton in fact relates to Brazilian striker Everton Costa of Vasco da Gama. He and Lucas played together during the 2006-07 season for Gremio before Lucas headed off to play at Anfield.
Everton went on to play for several Brazilian sides such as Santos, Internacional and Coritiba whilst he also had a stint in Norway with Fredrikstad.
But his life and career took a horrific twist in the week - as he collapsed on the bench shortly after leaving the pitch against Resende.
He left in an ambulance and it was confirmed he had suffered a heart attack brought on by an irregular heartbeat.
Luckily he survived but he is expected to be monitored over the next week or so to make sure he is out of danger.
And that is all Lucas’ Tweet meant.
