CONFIRMED: Newcastle United & Swansea City line-ups

St James Park Two

Here is how Newcastle United and Swansea City will line up for this afternoon's Premier League match at St. James' Park...

Newcastle United starting XI: Krul; Coloccini, Williamson, Dummett; Anita, Gosling, Tiote, Gouffran; de Jong; Cisse, Sh Ameobi

Subs: Elliot, Debuchy, Haidara, Yanga-Mbiwa, S Taylor, Armstrong, Remy

Swansea City starting XI: Vorm, Rangel, Amat, Williams, Davies, Britton, Shelvey, De Guzman, Routledge, Hernandez, Bony.

Subs: Tremmel, Taylor, Bartley, Fulton, Dyer, Emnes, Ngog.

Swansea City will be looking to pile the misery on Newcastle United today with a much needed three points on Tyneside.

The Swans were unlucky in their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea last Sunday, but the result leaves Garry Monk's side hovering precariously above the drop zone, just two points clear of a resurgent Fulham.

But with just one win in their last nine games and 14 games without a clean sheet, Swansea are in a dire run of form and need points quickly if they are to guarantee their Premier League survival.

Yet their quest for three points is aided by facing Newcastle - who are in even worse form entering today's game, with four defeats in a row totalling an aggregate scoreline of 12-0.

The pressure is building on manager Alan Pardew, and with just two goals at St. James' Park in 2014, Swansea certainly have their best chance of keeping that elusive clean sheet.
