Currently still nursing an ankle injury sustained at the beginning of March, Jack Wilshere hasn’t let that get in the way of his passion for the Gunners.
The England international midfielder has been sorely missed by Arsene Wenger’s men over the past six weeks, as the Gunners have slipped down to fourth in the Premier League and face a fight to hold on to the final Champions League spot.
Nevertheless, instead of staying indoors and watching the football from the comfort of his own sofa, the 22-year-old midfielder has been up and about and headed down to the Emirates Stadium last night to watch the Arsenal youth team take on Chelsea.
At the Emirates for the youth cup game. Big night for the young lads come and show your support Gooners! #AFC— Jack Wilshere (@JackWilshere) abril 17, 2014
Wilshere joined an excellent 10,000 fans in attendance to cheer on the potential future Arsenal first-teamers as they looked to overcome their London rivals and set-up a two-legged Youth Cup final against Fulham.
Unfortunately for the young Gunners, the well-backed support couldn’t help them advance as they fell to a 1-0 defeat – 3-1 on aggregate - in the semi-final second leg stage.
Jack Wilshere is expected to fully return from his injury within the next two weeks alongside fellow crocks Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil.
He will certainly hope to give his side a major boost ahead of the FA Cup final against Hull City.
