Manchester United’s utility man Phil Jones has been answering supporters’ questions on Youtube as part of a new interactive initiative with the fans.
And one of the questions posed to the England international was regarding the top three strikers he has faced during his relatively short career to date.
The 22-year-old Manchester United centre back was quick to mention Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez and Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, before also opting for Chelsea's legendary striker Didier Drogba.
Jones said: 'Alexis Sanchez - when I played against him against Chile; Wayne Rooney - because he’s just a worldclass player; and Didir Drogba - who I played against when I made my debut for Blackburn Rovers'.
Jones’ Premier League debut came on March 21 2010 with Blackburn Rovers, and he helped his side contain Drogba as then Premier League champions Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw.
The Ivorian international enjoyed a memorable eight years in Chelsea’s colours, winning a number of trophies and terrorising the best defences in the world.
Arguably past his peak when facing off against Jones, the Drogba still left a lasting impression on the Manchester United star - beating the likes of Luis Suarez, Mario Mandzukic, Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain into the list of Jones’ top three opponents.
