Piers Morgan was once again left with egg on his face last night as he attempted to blast Arsenal during the early stage of their Premier League win against West Ham United.
Morgan is one of the club’s highest profile fans and someone who hasn’t been afraid to get right on Arsene Wenger’s case over the last few weeks as the fortunes of the Frenchman’s club have changed.
Morgan, like any normal fan, was furious when the Gunners went 1-0 down to the Hammers last night, citing West Ham’s most famous song to vent his frustration at Arsenal’s decline in the Premier League title race.
Morgan has also been consistently critical of current striker Olivier Giroud, which didn't change last night, before backtracking when the Frenchman bagged what turned out to be an important goal to go with the brace from Lukas Podolski.
Giroud running around the wing like a headless escargot. Absurd. Get back in the bloody middle. You're supposed to be centre forward. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 15, 2014
Arsenal have four games to go in the Premier League and while they climbed back into the top four following the result last night, they are now relying on Everton slipping up or they will end the season without Champions League football for the first time since Arsene Wenger took over.
