Liverpool enter race for Arsenal-admired Ligue 1 striker – report

The Reds have been linked with a summer move for Divock Origi, with the Gunners also said to be keen.

With the summer transfer window almost upon us, transfer speculation is starting to ramp up again.

Liverpool will have their potential Premier League title triumph to focus on first, but Brendan Rodgers will look to strengthen his contingent ahead of next season.

The Reds have today been linked with a move for promising Lille striker Divock Origi, with The Daily Mail stating that the Anfield outfit are ready to pounce for the 18-year-old.

Arsenal were linked with a move for the teenager a couple of weeks ago, with the Premier League powerhouses set to do battle for the forward’s signature.

Origi has started 10 Ligue 1 games for Lille this season, netting five goals.

The forward has played a significant role in Belgian youth grades, most recently making his debut for the under-21 side. He had previously netted ten goals in 19 appearances for the under-19 outfit.
