Liverpool's under-21s are flying high in their league just as the senior team are doing in the top-flight.
The under-21 league may not get generate anywhere near the same level of fanfare as its bigger brother the Premier League, but the majority of players locking horns on a weekly basis are youngsters with dreams of one day making it into their senior sides.
Liverpool have some of the most exciting young talent in the game, and while many have been making waves either in Brendan Rodgers' first-team or on loan this season, others have been helping Liverpool's under-21s to the top of their league.
They are currently three points clear of closest rivals Fulham and they also have a game-in-hand over the Cottagers' youngsters.
There is still considerable threat from the under-21s of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United, who have all played two games less than their Liverpool counterparts. But it is clear the Reds are flying high in a number of divisions, which suggests the future is extremely bright both for the players who are currently fighting for the Premier League and for those with eyes on doing just that in the future.
