Aaron Lennon praises former Spurs star Gareth Bale's wondergoal

Former Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale netted a memorable strike to win Real Madrid the Copa del Rey.

Gareth Bale scored the biggest goal of his career last night to propel Real Madrid to a 2-1 win over Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final.

The Welshman burned Marc Bartra for pace as he netted a superb goal for Real in the closing stages, showing just why the Spanish side paid £86 million for him last summer.

A goal reminiscent of his famous strikes in the San Siro, Bale answered any critics who suggested he was still to net in a big game since moving to Spain.

His incredible match winner dazzled everybody watching, which included his former Tottenham teammate Aaron Lennon.

The Englishmen sent a single word message on Twitter immediately after the strike, expressing his amazement.

The match will be remembered for Bale's heroics, compounding more misery on Tata Martino's Barcelona side.

Now, if only Tottenham had managed to keep hold of him...
