Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Benitez interested in Spurs job? Dembele returns for under-21s

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

The Mirror claims that former Liverpool and Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez is interested in taking over at Spurs.

The Spaniard has been out of English football since he left Chelsea as interim boss at the end of last season.

He currently coaches Serie A giants Napoli who sit third in the Italian league, 20 points behind league leaders Juventus.

Mousa Dembele returned to action in a Tottenham shirt last night as the under-21 side lost 1-0 to Manchester United.

A single goal from highly rated United forward James Wilson turned out to be decisive over the 90 minutes.

Dembele has been out of action with a troublesome hip injury.

Lewis Holtby has revealed his desire to return to Tottenham and have an impact at White Hart Lane.

The German was loaned to West London side Fulham after failing to secure regular football at Spurs.

“I signed a long contract at Tottenham and I was hoping to have a long future at the club. I still believe I can do that. I have the qualities to play for Tottenham,” he told talkSPORT.
