Liverpool's Pepe Reina sends Hillsborough tribute tweet

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina tweeted a message of tribute to those who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, which saw 96 football fans lose their lives during Liverpool's FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest in 1989.

We have already seen wonderful and impeccably-observed tributes up and down the country, but today emotions run at their highest.

Pepe Reina may not currently be plying his trade at Liverpool, having moved on loan to Italian side Napoli at the start of the season.  But that did not stop him taking to Twitter earlier today to send his own message regarding justice and remembrance.

The goalkeeper's future is unknown, but with Simon Mignolet now firmly entrenched between the sticks the Spaniard is likely to have played his last match for the Reds.

And yet whatever the future holds for him, it is clear Liverpool is still - and will forever be - in his heart.  And that is just one of the wonders of the club that could be on the verge of Premier League glory, but today remembers those it has lost.
