Lukas Podolski fired Arsenal back into the top four with a well-taken brace in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over West Ham at the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger’s men now sit one point ahead of Everton - who have a game in hand - in the fourth and final Champions League place, and face a real fight to hold their position.
Arsenal secured passage to the FA Cup Final alongside Hull City with a penalty shoot-out triumph against Wigan at the weekend, so silverware is still within reach along with Champions League football.
But Podolski has said that Arsenal must concentrate only on the Premier League at the moment to ensure qualification for Europe’s elite competition.
He told Sky Sports after the win over West Ham: “Of course, the FA Cup Final is after the season, so we’ll leave the FA Cup now.
“At the moment we focus on the Premier League because the most important thing is that everyone wants to play in the Champions League.
“The matches are amazing and important for the club as well, and every player wants to play in the Champions League next year.”
Podolski went on to say that he thinks Arsenal will need to win all four of their remaining Premier League games to take fourth place.
“There’s hard matches to come,” he added.
“We play away against Hull City and Norwich, so it’s not easy.
“We must win all of the matches and then I think we will qualify.”
