A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.
Louis Van Gaal and Mauricio Pochettino remain the front runners to be the next Tottenham boss according to the London Evening Standard, with reports this morning linking PSG boss Laurent Blanc and Napoli manager Rafa Benitez with the post at White Hart Lane.
The Standard reports that Pochettino would be suited to the structure at the club, and that Southampton are currently concerned over the Argentine’s unwillingness to pledge their long-term future to them.
He told the Tottenham website: “It’s good to score an important goal. It was great to start again, too. I want to give back goals.
“Hopefully I can keep it up, get another start and another goal next week.
“We’ve four games left and it would be great to get some more starts and more goals between now and the end of the season.”
Nabil Bentaleb has been tipped to be a star for Algeria by fellow international Adlene Guedioura.
Bentaleb made his debut for Algeria against Slovenia in March, and Guedioura is quoted by the BBC, saying: “I think he can bring his qualities. He’s a young lad who is starting every game for Tottenham, that shows how good he is.
“When you play in the Premier League it means you have the experience to play in big games.
“I know when you play in the national team it’s quite different and of course we’re talking about the World Cup but I think he’s doing really well and we’re going to be there for him.”
