With Bacary Sagna’s future no closer to being determined, Arsenal may well have to start to look for replacements for the experienced French defender this summer.
Although a number of right-backs in France have been touted as potential targets for Arsene Wenger’s men, an up-and-coming star in Germany may well be on the Londoners’ radar.
The Emirates Stadium outfit have been linked with a move for Sebastian Jung in the past, and the player’s agent has once more addressed the English club’s interest.
Eintracht Frnakfurt have lost fellow young star Sebastian Rode to Bayern Munich, with every chance that Jung could follow suit according to agent Mino Grillo.
“Rode to Bayern was not a surprise. He is a football player who ran down his contract and likes the Bavarians. He is a great prospect,” he told Tutto Mercato.
“For Jung there is news from Italy, from Inter, Roma and Milan, but there has been no recent contact.
“In England, Arsenal are on his trail. He is a right-back with a secure future and in general Eintracht’s youth offers several talents that have been shown in the Bundesliga last season, this season and in the Europa League.”
The 23-year-old is a product of the Frankfurt club’s youth academy and has been in their first team since 2009.
He has also represented Germany from under-18 to under-21 level.
