At the weekend, Championship high-flyers Derby County found themselves 1-0 down to Huddersfield Town. Former Bradford City striker Nahki Wells put the Terriers 1-0 up after capitalising on some sloppy defending from the East Midlands side.
It looked like it could be a frustrating afternoon for the promotion hopefuls, however, in the 28th minute West Brom midfielder George Thorne produced a moment of magic.
He picked the ball up in the opposition half and was able to execute a superb through-ball which found former Dundee United striker Johnny Russell. The Scottish striker was then able to apply a delicate finish to notch his 8th goal in 20 starts.
In the end, the game proved to be a comfortable one for the Rams, winning 3-1, who amassed no less than 729 passes - 117 more than anyone else in the Championship on the day.
The 21-year-old left the pitch to chants of 'sign him up' which will no doubt be one of Steve McClaren's first duties in the summer if West Brom decide to make him available.
