A poll conducted ahead of the World Cup shows the most pessimistic and optimistic fans in England
Research carried out by UK Soccer Shop shows that West Bromwich Albion have the most pessimistic fans in the country ahead of the World Cup.
The two month count down is on and Simon Prestwell of UKSS decided it was time to canvas opinion from England fans all over the country.
A poll created ahead of the World Cup this summer surveyed 2000 English football fans and Baggies supporters were the most pessimistic ahead of England’s chances with 45% expecting a group stage exit.
Granted, Baggies have been forced to endure a scrap towards the wrong end of the table this season but England still have some very good individual players.
The most optimistic set of fans, probably not so much this morning, proved to be Manchester City supporters with 13% of their fans who took part thinking Roy Hodgson’s men can win the World Cup this summer.
There is also a good feeling from the general consensus of England fans, with 77% feeling England can get out of their group which includes the mighty challenge coming from Italy and Uruguay.
