Club veteran Rio Ferdinand wants to stay at Old Trafford but has admitted he could go elsewhere, stating he will assess his fitness at the end of the season.
“I want to continue playing - that’s the aim," he said. "The legs haven’t given way yet.”
"Whether that’s at Manchester United or somewhere else depends on what the club want to do.”
"We’ll have to wait and see at the end of the season. We’ll do what we did last season - speak and see where we’re at," he added.
Meanwhile, United will hold a final round of talks with vice-captain Patrice Evra over his contract, which expires this summer in a bid to keep hold of the French fullback, according to reports.
“We have five finals to play in the league and we will try to win all of them to get as many points as possible. We have a good training week ahead to get ready for the Everton match. I feel very good and I really want to play again, as it's been a while since the last time I did. I'm looking forward to my next game,” wrote the Spaniard on his blog.
Defender Chris Smalling hopes the Red Devils can learn from their mistakes this term and improve next season.
"It's a strange feeling for a lot of us to be in the position that we find ourselves in," he told Inside United. "Even before I joined, and since I've been here, we've always been competing at the top of the league. “
"You learn that you can't take what has happened in previous years for granted. I think this experience will help us make sure we never let this happen again,” he added.
In transfer news, United remain linked with England youngster Adam Lallana whom The Mirror reports could be on his way out of St Mary’s after an impressive season with Southampton.
Elsewhere, M.E.N links United with interest in Edinson Cavani and William Carvalho who could be on David Moyes’ wish list this summer.
