Manchester United fans react on Twitter after James Wilson nets again for under-21s

Manchester United fans are desperate for James Wilson to get a first team chance before the end of the season.

Manchester United youngster James Wilson scored yet again for the club's under-21 team, helping them to a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The teenager has been in impressive form in recent weeks, and this was his sixth goal in seven games for the side.

Adding to five goals he scored for the under-19s in six UEFA Youth League games, it's been quite a season for the 18-year-old.

Wilson was even called up to the first team by David Moyes for United's last Premier League match against Newcastle, where he was an unused substitute.

With his goal against Tottenham, he will certainly have given the Scotsman more food for thought, with concerns over the fitness of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

And Wilson has always appeared as though he could be a special player. He netted in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals against at just 15; the very fact he was on the field was testament to United's faith in him.

The forward has been praised by former United star Clayton Blackmore, who told earlier this month: "I coached him with the Under-15s and he was frightening. In every session, he scored top-drawer goals.

"For me, it is only a matter of time before he breaks into the first team. He is very direct when he gets on the ball and with what he does around about the box with his shooting. At 15, he was the best I have seen at finishing.

"...He is so good with both feet that I don't know if he is left or right-footed. Honestly, he is a special talent and hopefully, one day soon, he is going to get a chance in the first team."

United fans certainly feel the same way, and with the Red Devils having little to play for, save for pride and Europa League qualification, there may be no better time than to throw Wilson in, especially with him in red hot form.
