The Manchester City captain took an apathetic look at things on social media after his blunder saw his side lose.
Manchester City’s title hopes took a massive dent on Sunday afternoon, with Manuel Pellegrini’s men beaten 3-2 by Liverpool at Anfield.
The hosts’ winner came from Philippe Coutinho after an unlikely mistake from visiting skipper Vincent Kompany.
The giant Belgian defender sliced a clearance to the Brazilian’s feet, who ruthlessly dispatched an effort from the edge of the box past Joe Hart.
Although Kompany slumped to his knees in dismay after the incident, the commanding centre-half does not seem to be taking the mistake to heart.
He has commented on Twitter stating that City are not out of the Premier League title race and that unfortunately in the sport mistakes happen.
City will be keen to keep an eye on Liverpool’s home clash with Chelsea, which will be Brendan Rodgers’ men’s toughest test in their remaining four games.
Pellegrini’s men need Liverpool to slip up if they are to potentially win the league.
