Sent out on loan after years experiencing falling short of even being nearly-men, you could almost forgive Pepe Reina for feeling a little bitter at Liverpool's success without him.
Yet the Spaniard has no such feeling, publicly at least, using his Twitter feed to send the Reds a message after their memorable win over Manchester City.
The victory places Liverpool agonisingly close to their first Premier League triumph in more than two decades, top of the table with four games remaining.
Reina was loaned out to Napoli in the summer after the arrival of Simon Mignolet from Sunderland, who has himself played his role in the Reds march to the top of the league.
It's doubtful he will ever play for Liverpool again, despite a year remaining on his contract, although Barcelona's transfer ban places his dream move in jeopardy.
It takes little to show that he still cares about the Reds though, and from his message above, it's clear he still feels a connection with the city, the players and the staff at the club. You can bet his current boss Rafa Benitez shares the same passion and desperation for Liverpool to triumph.
