VIDEO: Arsenal linked defender scores screamer in Eredivisie

Arsenal are said to be interested in Darryl Jamaat.

Arsenal target Darryl Janmaat scored a screamer in Feyenoord's 2-0 win over PSV Eindhoven at the Philips Stadion in the Eredivisie at the weekend.

The full-back scored the second goal as Feyenoord kept up their good, stretching their winning run to six games, meaning they are second in the Dutch league, six points behind Ajax. However, it looks as though the title will be heading to Amsterdam this season with Ajax only needing a point to become champions once again.

Joris Mathijsen headed Feyenoord ahead midway through the first half, but Janmaat's strike in the final quarter of an hour secured all three points.

It has been reported recently that Arsenal are considering Janmaat as a possible replacement for Bacary Sagna as discussions over a possible new contract for Sagna continue.

Feyenoord were said to have wanted around £7m for the player but he may be available for less as the Rotterdam club doesn't want to lose him on a free transfer - as he only has one year remaining on his contract.
