Borja Valero’s representative has claimed that the Spanish midfielder is happy at Fiorentina, despite big clubs circling.
Manchester United’s search for a midfield playmaker wa a source of frustration last summer, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara and Sami Khedira spurning the opportunity to move to Old Trafford.
This summer will surely see David Moyes address the situation once more, with persistent rumours that Toni Kroos is in the Scot’s sights.
However, another lower-profile player could well fit the bill for the Premier League champions in the form of Borja Valero.
The Real Madrid youth graduate has been excelling for Fiorentina in Serie A this summer, and as such is being linked with the likes of Barcelona and his former club.
With United also accredited with an interest on the former West Brom man, reports have emerged that the Spaniard could leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi this summer.
However, Valero’s agent has cooled transfer speculation, stating that the midfielder feels at home with the Viola.
“The interest of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United? He is a Fiorentina player and he doesn't think to other teams, he only thinks about his future with Fiorentina,” Alejandro Camano told Radio Blu.
“The Viola team is a big family.”
The 29-year-old has played his part in helping Fiorentina to fourth place in Serie A this season, scoring five goals and making seven assists.
