All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates Stadium this morning.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been speaking about today’s massive FA Cup semi-final against Wigan Athletic - and believes victory in this game could lead to string of silverware.
It is nine years since The Gunners won a trophy - defeating Manchester United in the FA Cup Final of 2005.
The Ox though believes winning this year’s competition could see them break a duck - and the trophy cabinet will fill up as a result:
"Once you do get that experience of winning the first one you automatically build confidence that you can go on and do that again and again and again.”
He has also spoken about THAT handball against Chelsea. Arsenal lost the game 6-0 but the match was still best remembered for referee Andre Mariner sending off Kieran Gibbs instead of Chambo for a first-half handball:
“It was a nightmare day. People have asked if I am a midfielder or a winger, but I showed maybe I can play in goal. The whole situation was crazy…What happened on that day? I handballed it but I did not even know what had happened. It was an instinct reaction and you cannot control those things. A split-second thing like that, and all that controversy follows…”
Arsenal are being linked with a move for talented Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro.
The Bazilian talent is not a regular at the Santiago Bernabeu and is said to be looking for first-team football elsewhere.
The former Sao Paulo star has five caps for Brazil but has only made five appearances for Los Blancos this season.
Inter Milan are also said to be interested.
German reports suggest that it is not just Borussia Dortmund who Arsenal must be wary of in their pursuit of Josip Drmic this summer.
Ambitious outfit Borussia Monchengladbach are also said to be keen on the Swiss international and are readying a bid for the player.
Bayer Leverkusen, Everton and West Ham are also said to be keen.
