Xbox One price lowered again

Xbox One System

Retailers Amazon and Asda have cut the price of the Xbox One Titanfall bundle to £349.

Gamers better grab this deal quick! Asda and Amazon have both dropped the price of the Xbox One with currently the consoles best selling game, Titanfall, by £50.

It's not understood how long this deal is on for, or whether it's a permanent move by the retailers in an effort to shift more of the next generation consoles. The bundle includes the Xbox One, Kinect, Titanfall and one controller.

The Titanfall edition is supposed to cost £400, and considering the console itself cost £429 when it was first launched last November, this seems like an unmissable deal for gamers who want to immerse themselves in next-gen gaming.

Microsoft slashed the price of their console in February to £400 in order to bring it inline with its rival the Playstation 4. Since then however the price of the PS4 has gone down again to around £350, so this latest price cut by Amazon and Asda crucially matches it to the PS4's current price.

The pricing was initially a major drawback for the Xbox One, and this showed in the sales figures as the PS4 outsold the Xbox One massively with US sales estimated at around 7 million compared to the One's 4 million.

Microsoft attempted to justify their price tag with the fact that Kinect 2 is bundled with every console. This is ok for the casual or family gamers, but many of the hardcore gamers out there find Kinect an unnecessary nuisance.
