Bayern Munich, Juventus, Everton, Freiburg and PSV stars all feature.
David Moyes has a big summer ahead of him.
The Manchester United boss has to try and attract the calibre of stars who can push the side back to the top of domestic and European football without the appeal of Champions League football.
He’s relying on the reputation and the history of the club to be enough to tempt in the best players this summer and the rumour mill this week has suggested he could still pull off some big deals.
Here are five of the best players linked with United moves this week.
Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich)
Each week we do this feature for HITC, each week Kroos’ name appears. Manchester United’s Ed Woodward is thought to have stayed behind in Germany following the Champions League game earlier this week, to work on a deal that would bring the player to Old Trafford this summer.
Paul Pogba (Juventus)
If United want a crack at re-signing Pogba from Juventus, they will need to draw on every little bit of their vast commercial network. The current asking price for the Frenchman is thought to be around the €70 million mark as the Serie A giants are keen to keep him.
Ross Barkley (Everton)
United continue to be linked with Everton’s best young midfield prospect. The asking price at the moment is £50 million so it would be another hard deal for Moyes to pull off plus Chelsea are thought to be interested in him, which increases the competition for his signature.
Matthias Ginter (FC Freiburg)
Moyes has to replace captain Nemanja Vidic this summer and Matthias Ginter could be the man he wants in the heart of his defence. However, the latest reports suggest United face strong competition for his services from Borussia Dortmund, keen to keep him in Germany.
Santiago (PSV Eindhoven)
Another potential replacement for Nemanja Vidic. Reports suggest United have been laying the groundwork over a new deal thought to be worth £6 million, but the Dutch club insist they have received no official offers for the 22-year-old and know nothing about United’s apparent interest.
