Could Thomas Eisfeld make the substitute's bench at Wembley?
For a young star a long time vaunted as a future Arsenal first team star, progress has been slow for Thomas Eisfeld.
The German youth international has had to bide his time, and has not featured for the first team since scoring in the League Cup against West Brom back in September.
Backing up another impressive showing in the same tournament a year earlier at Reading, and dynamic pre-season displays, Eisfeld's patience has to be commended.
Could it be that he plays a shock role in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Wigan Athletic?
He is pictured above with Lukas Podolski, and right, in a training drill today at London Colney with the rest of the Arsenal first team.
With Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby all still missing, there is an outside chance the highly rated German could make the bench at Wembley, or is at least in manager Arsene Wenger's thoughts.
Eisfeld has this season bagged four goals from midfield for Arsenal's under-21 squad, and four assists, the most recent of which coming in the 4-3 win over Manchester City earlier this week.
