Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Twist in race for Younes Belhanda, interest grows in Loris Benito

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have been put on red alert as Montpellier’s chairman tries to cancel the sale of Younes Belhanda to Dynamo Kiev.

The French side sold the winger to the Ukrainian team last summer but claim Kiev have not paid the whole transfer fee agreed.

“We have notified UEFA (that the whole fee hasn’t been paid), so it is possible that Younes could come back and be sold somewhere else,” Louis Nicollin told Sky Sports.

The Mirror has claimed that Tottenham are considering a move for Swiss left-back Loris Benito this summer.

The 22-year-old plays for FC Zurich and has international experience having played for the Swiss under-21 national side.

Benito is a versatile defender who can play down either flank and also on the left hand side of midfield.

Striker Harry Kane has revealed he’s eager to push on and develop further at Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane started against Sunderland earlier this week, bagging himself a goal in Tottenham’s impressive win.

“People think I am a bit older but a first Premier League goal for Tottenham at 20 is not bad. Hopefully I can push on now,” he told the Tottenham Journal.
