Manchester United fans were impressed with the performance of their top transfer target.
Manchester United got their second close up and personal look at prospective summer addition Toni Kroos last night at the Allianz Arena.
The German international was measured and composed in the centre of midfield, surely doing little to dissuade the Red Devils from ramping up their summer pursuit.
In fact The Mirror, a paper banned from the stadium by Bayern after a headline considered to be offensive following the first leg, claimed chief executive Ed Woodward was planning on negotiating with the midfielder after the game.
Kroos would fill a clear need at United, and become the world class midfielder their fans have craved even in the later years under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The German created three goalscoring opportunities last night, more than any United player on the pitch.
His 86% pass completion ratio was also superior to any Manchester United midfielder, and his three won tackles edged by Michael Carrick (4), but better than Darren Fletcher (0). His 94 touches were far higher than Carrick (46) and Fletcher (38).
And this was a performance where Kroos did not really star. He was even better at Old Trafford, and against Arsenal at the Emirates he was supreme, scoring a magnificent goal. Last night he did not bring his shooting boots, curling his only effort over the bar during the first half.
We took a look at how Manchester United fans reacted to his performance...

Don't particularly want Kroos, need to sign a proper, ball winning CM #mufc— R-Dog (@RoryPellow) April 9, 2014
