A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mail claims Tim Sherwood asked chairman Daniel Levy for Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The on loan Chelsea forward has been in good form for Everton and is widely expected to be sold.

However, Sherwood will probably never get a chance to complete a deal as he’s expected to be moved on from his position as head coach at the end of the campaign.

The Express suggests Spurs are ready to beat Manchester United to the signing of Ezequiel Garay.

Garay has been linked with United for a lengthy period of time, dating back to the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

He’s reportedly viewed as a potential replacement for Jan Vertonghen should the Belgian leave White Hart Lane.

One player who won’t be leaving is Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen who has revealed he’s happy to stay at the club.

Eriksen was thought to be another player who could leave should the club fail to finish in the top four by the end of the season.

“I'm happy here and I am looking forward to the future. For me, the feeling I have at the club isn't dependent on being in the Champions League,” he told the Mirror.
