A new zone for groups of four and 12 players, with some hefty looking trials.
Not even a week after the launch of ESO and we’re already being teased with the first content update. The update will introduce the new adventure zone of Craglorn later this month.
In the video, Paul Sage, Creative Director at Zenimax Online Studios, describes what we can expect. There will be content “specifically desgined for groups of four players, and it’s got even more special content designed for groups of 12 players,” said Sage.
The area has its own mystery - constellations are missing from the sky, and rumours of beings called celestials are going to be what your four-player group will focus on investigating, to bring to light how they’re affecting Craglorn.
Trials are also talked of in the video, which are designed for groups of 12 players, and sound like they’ll test your skills to the limit. In Trials you will encounter many different monsters, bosses with new tactics not yet seen in the game, and eviromental hazards. Your group will have a limited number of resurrections, on top of a time limit to complete the trial. If your group ranks highly on the trials leaderboards, you’ll receive rewards.
The update looks like a lot of fun, and conveniently comes at a time when many players’ monthly subscriptions will be up for renewal – will this update keep people playing? We’ll have to wait and see.
