The Brazilian centre back, 30, has starred for Bayern ever since his 2012 move from Borussia Monchengladbach, but missed the first leg of the quarter final clash with David Moyes' Manchester United through suspension - a team that have been linked with a swoop for his services.
But whilst the defender has to put those thoughts to one side, he took time out from the pressure of the last eight matchup to spend some time with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, a known football fan from across the pond.
Luck's story is somewhat unique in that he has lived in London and Germany as a result of his father Oliver's involvement with NFL Europe, and having been exposed to football for so many years, the first overall pick in the 2012 Draft is known to attend some of the biggest games in both countries.
Whilst he has openly admitted to following American midfielder Clint Dempsey to whichever club the former Fulham and Spurs star plays for, Luck has been seen with Arsenal and West Ham jerseys bearing his name in recent weeks - but he can now add another shirt to his collection as Dante exchanged his Bayern shirt for a Colts one in a meeting this week.
With a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League up for grabs tonight, Bayern boss Pep Guardiola may be hoping that Dante's meeting with Luck will bring his side some luck tonight against United.
