A survey conducted by Arsenal supporter group The Black Scarf Movement has showed that 68% of 8,174 participants believe Arsene Wenger should keep his job at the Gunners even if the club don’t win any silverware by the end of the campaign.
Arsenal started the season with a bang but performances have dipped, as the club have slid away from the top of the Premier League and out of the Champions League which makes the FA Cup final clash against Wigan their most important game left this season.
There has been widespread talk and suggestions that Wenger should be moved on in the summer with a number of names being mentioned in connection to the job; Roberto Martinez and Jurgen Klopp to name just two.
However, Wenger was unanimously backed in the survey as 59% said he should get a two to three year contract should Arsenal win the FA Cup and 9% suggesting he should get a deal similar to the one Sir Alex Ferguson was on at Manchester United; a one-year rolling deal.
As for another season without any silverware, 61% of Gunners were happy to vote that Wenger should get some sort of new deal should the club at least finish in the top four.
