A select round-up of news relating to Manchester United

There are encouraging reports surrounding Manchester United and their apparent interest in Toni Kroos this morning.

The Mirror claims the Bayern Munich midfielder has told teammates he is ready to leave the Allianz Arena for Old Trafford this summer, with a reported £40million transfer fee and £200,000-a-week deal in the offing.

Speaking of Bayern, the Daily Mail reports that Wayne Rooney may have chipped a bone in his foot, but that he will board the plane to Germany today and will be given painkilling injections in an attempt to be fit for the Champions League quarter-final second-leg.

Back to the Mirror now, which has published quotes from Nani’s agents suggesting his days at United could be numbered.

Nani is a very important player and at this time the only thing I can say is that he is likely to leave Manchester,” Andrea Pastorello is quoted as saying.

And finally, the Manchester Evening News reports that there will be a permanent singing section at Old Trafford from next season.

It will be in the ground’s North East Quadrant following a successful two-match trial earlier in this campaign.
