Liverpool receives excellent news last night as 19-year-old starlet Marc Pelosi returned to action following his horrific leg break 14 months ago.
The German-born American star joined the Reds in 2011 following a successful U17 Word Cup tournament where he caught the eye with a number of impressive performances.
Since joining the Reds, Pelosi immediately joined up with the Liverpool U18 side and after playing regularly, he jumped up to join the reserve side.
After a rather injury hit 2012, the young midfielder then started to gain rave reviews playing for the U21 side playing just off the striker in a role similar to Philippe Coutinho.
Unfortunately for Pelosi, in February 2013 he suffered a horrible leg break and has since remained out of action until finally making his comeback last night.
Liverpool U21 were hosting Chelsea at Aldershot and took a huge leap towards making the playoffs with a 1-0 victory with the solitary goal courtesy of in-from striker Jack Dunn.
The highlight of the night for the Reds though was the late cameo by Marc Pelosi. He entered the fray with just 16 minutes remaining, helping his side see out the match to the delight of the coaching staff and his teammates.
Despite the comeback, there is still plenty of work left for Pelosi as he bids to regain full strength and fitness before the season is out.
