A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
The Daily Mail claims Tottenham are the favourites to sign midfielder Adam Lallana from Southampton.
The England international has been linked with several top clubs with Chelsea and Liverpool also thought to be interested.
The £20 million rated Lallana is reportedly a top priority for Daniel Levy this summer and he will apparently back any new boss coming in should they want him.
The Mirror claims that Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood will resign before the end of the season.
There was plenty of speculation circulating yesterday that Sherwood would be sacked this summer with a year left to run on his contract.
“I hope he stays but I am not the chairman, I just need to keep focussed on the job in hand and scoring goals,” said Emmanuel Adebayor.
Sherwood has defended his record at the club as the rumours build suggesting he can match any top flight boss.
He’s admitted that the main aim was Champions League football but has dismissed the idea that failure to reach the top four is behind the latest rumours.
“My record’s been very good, in the Premier League it’s second to none - We wanted Champions League but there was never any pressure, any talk about finishing in the Champions League,” he said after the win against Sunderland last night.
